John Coddington has a big spirit and a big laugh. He also has an enormous group of friends and admirers. You canât help but smile when you meet him. You can see why people donât mind turning an injured body part over to him for care.
John retired recently from his job as an athletic trainer and physical therapist at South Bend Orthopaedics.
He can count his time in the field â 47 years. He canât count how many people he has helped. Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Brian Ratigan estimated that John has helped thousands of athletes and others.
Lots of people trusted him to make them better. He has worked with several other physical therapy practices in the area and with high schools throughout the area to train, to rehabilitate athletes, for post-surgery care and instruction on throwing techniques.
