SANFORD, MI – When the rainfall kept coming down and the water level in the nearby river began to rise, Rebecca Johnson was sure it was just the usual spring weather.

The City of Midland and the Midland Downtown Development Authority are pleased to announce the hiring of Melissa Farley as the DDA’s downtown events coordinator.
In this role, Farley will oversee the planning and execution of downtown Midland events and activities as well as spearhead promoting the downtown district to residents and visitors.
Originally from the Essexville area, Farley comes to the city after serving for six years at the Midland Business Alliance (MBA), where she held several titles including director of innovation & small business and director of MBA events. ....
