Graham Travis Graham takes the helm July 1 Purdy has a new superintendent taking the helm July 1 following the resignation of Mindi Gates, who will be returning to her hometown school in Cassville next year. Purdy School Board of Education President Todd Schallert introduced Travis Graham as the districts 2021-2022 Superintendent at a special staff meeting on March 22. We are so happy to welcome Dr. Graham and his family, not only to the school, but to the community, Schallert said. Dr. Graham brings a wealth of diverse educational experience to the position. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 School board amends calendar due to snow days After an unscheduled two-week vacation brought on by snow and ice earlier this month, the Purdy School Board voted to amend its school calendar and schedule make-up days. Originally, Purdy schools had scheduled professional development days for March 19 and April 5. However, in light of the unscheduled snow days, the school board voted unanimously to reschedule those in-service days as traditional school days. Board Vice President Ken Terry said the make-up days are necessary to ensure the school meets its state-mandated hours of education for the school year. The school board also voted unanimously to approve the academic calendar for the 2021-22 school year. ....
