FEMA Sites Across Florida Switching to Johnson & Johnson Vaccines Starting Tuesday


Up to 3,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be available per day at each site.
Individuals who received their first Pfizer dose at one of these locations will be able to come back to the site to receive their second dose.
They will continue to administer the Pfizer vaccines for second doses through its duration.
The move comes after all adults over the age of 18 in the state of Florida now have access to the COVID-19 vaccine, while some teenagers will also have access.
Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the eligibility moves last month, lowering the age to 40 and older last Monday while lowering it even further to 18 and older starting April 5. ....

Vaccine Eligibility Opens Monday to All Florida Adults Ages 18 and Older


In order to receive the vaccine, those 16 and 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and show proof that the person is in fact a parent or legal guardian with either a birth certificate or court document.
Beginning on Tuesday, the Miami Dade College site will begin administering Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccines for anyone looking to receive their first dose. They will no longer be administering the Pfizer vaccine for first doses.
They will continue to administer the Pfizer vaccines for second doses through its duration.

FEMA Sites To Remain Open Easter Sunday, Administer Vaccines to Ages 16 and 17 Monday – NBC 6 South Florida

If you are ages 40 and over and thinking about getting a COVID-19 vaccine, the Miami Dade College North Division of Emergency Management FEMA site will be administering vaccines Saturday until 7 p.m. and Easter Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
FEMA Master Public Information Officer Mike Jachles announced anyone that meets the age criteria may go to a FEMA supported site with a valid government-issued ID and receive a COVID vaccine without an appointment.
