Milton Concerts in the Park to return June 2


Shows to be held every Wednesday
Milton’s Concerts In the Park series will resume in 2021 after being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The series will kick off Wednesday, June 2, with a performance by 33 1/3. A summertime tradition in Milton will be back in 2021.
Concerts in the Park, held every Wednesday from June to September, will officially return Wednesday, June 2, in Milton Memorial Park, after last year’s slate was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The series will kick off with longtime park favorites 33 1/3, with all concerts starting at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, which is normal, but the difference is those in attendance will also have to follow state COVID guidelines. That includes masks, social distancing, and hand sanitizer stations, and all attendees will need to provide ....

Lewes floodplain subcommittee meets
The Lewes Floodplain Subcommittee of the Lewes Planning Commission will meet virtually at 11 a.m., Friday, April 30. The group will continue discussion on items related to floodplain management. A link to the meeting can be found on the agenda at lewes.civicweb.net.
Warrington Road reopens April 30
Warrington Road between Route 24 and Airport Road is set to reopen Friday, April 30, after being closed for a month to install a roundabout for the new Beebe Healthcare Specialty Surgical Hospital. Motorists are asked to use caution with the new traffic pattern.

Raymond M. "Ray" Case


January 22, 1950 - January 27, 2021
JANESVILLE, WI - Raymond Michael Ray Case, age 71 of Janesville, WI passed away peacefully at home on January 27, 2021. Ray was born on January 22 ,1950 to John and Gladys (Ross) Case of Merrill, WI. Ray went to St. Francis then transferred to Holy Cross Seminary. Raymond left the seminary and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served 11 months in Vietnam and many more stateside. When he left the Corps, he enrolled in classes at UW-Whitewater where he met his future wife, Debra Ness. They were married June 2, 1973. Ray left Whitewater and started his career of 35+ years at Woodman s Food Market. He retired in 2009. Ray and Debra had one daughter, Jennifer Case. ....

Rehoboth streets committee to meet
The Rehoboth Beach Streets and Transportation Committee has scheduled an online meeting for 9 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 21. The agenda calls for a review of crosswalks throughout the city, traffic circle issues and a Surf Avenue bike lane.

As this very difficult year comes to a close, the Milton Community Foundation would like to thank the Milton community businesses, community organizations, and residents living in Milton and in the surrounding areas and towns for your support.  Because of you, MCF was able to do the following: 
• Raise over $19,000 to purchase Food Lion gift cards, and, working with different Milton organizations and schools, distribute $16,000 in Food Lion gift cards to families in need.
• Donate over $3,000 in Food Lion gift cards and cash to the Milton Community Food Pantry to support its holiday food distribution.
• When the building with the businesses The Nest Spa, The Paisley Moon Salon and The Speckled Roost caught fire, MCF raised over $5,000 and donated over $1,800 to each of these businesses.  ....
