Carrying the Group’s preeminent Peppers brand, Peppers Silo Hotel is an inspiring $25 million redevelopment of the Kings Wharf grain silos in Launceston, Tasmania.
The ten-storey hotel will have 108 rooms, including 52 in the barrels of the former silo, and overlooks the nearby tourist drawcards of Seaport, Royal Park, the Tamar River Basin and Cataract Gorge. Aboriginallaunceston.com.au website shows the lifeworld of the Tamar Valley s First Nations. It is the first such site in Australia.
About this event
The Launceston region attracted white settlement because it was fertile and so well managed by its First Nation inhabitants. Aboriginallaunceston.com.au is a website created by researchers, including elder Aunty Patsy Cameron, to show the lifeworld of the Tamar Valleys first people. It is the first in Australia and is being seen as a model for other similar initiatives in NSW and elsewhere around Australia.
