25 Sri Lankans arrested in India for drug trafficking

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that 25 Sri Lankans were arrested by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) for transporting narocotics on two raids which were conducted near the island of Minicoy.
During the first raid which was carried out on 05 March, 06 Sri Lankan nationals were arrested when the ICG inspected a fishing vessel that set sail from Chilaw.
It was also revealed that more than 200 kilograms of heroin were dumped in the sea during the raid.

Two men were rescued off a 50-foot yacht which had lost power in big swells off the east coast of Marlborough last night.
Police were alerted just after 8pm by one of the men aboard the former fishing trawler.
The vessel s lifejackets had been lost overboard in the swell and wind.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 510 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 14 confirmed deaths Thursday, April 1. This information is accurate as of March 30.
Today’s report brings the total number of people with confirmed cases since the outbreak began to 465,650 and confirmed deaths remain at 8,087.
Of the 14 deaths reported today, five were middle-aged people (35 to 64) and nine were elderly (65 and older). ....
