The percentage of vaccinated individuals in Ward County continues to rise, although First District Health Unit reports new vaccine allocations have been difficult to plan for.
Speaking to the Minot City Council Monday, First District Executive Director Lisa Clute said Ward County has 22.6% of its population with at least one vaccination. Residents ages 75 years and older who have received both doses comes to 70.7% of that population. In the 65- to 74-year-old age group, Ward County has 62.6% of the population vaccinated.

Currently, First District is vaccinating anyone who receives a paycheck for whom the vaccine is approved, which is 16 and older for the Pfizer vaccine and 18 and older for the Moderna vaccine.
