The Brightwater townhomes in Mississauga are the next phase of a master-planned community built on land that once housed an oil refinery.
Built by Port Credit West Village Partners (comprised of Kilmer Group, DiamondCorp, Dream Unlimited and FRAM + Slokker), the Port Credit project is a 72-acre master-planned community at Lakeshore and Mississauga Roads.
The Brightwater development is being built on Lake Ontario in Mississauga.
Once complete, it will include 2,995 new residences, as well as 150 affordable housing units, of which the 106 Brightwater townhomes are the latest phase. Two mixed-used commercial and residential towers were announced in the summer. ....

Teen girl dies after being attacked by three dogs in Ontario


 
TORONTO
A 17-year-old girl has died after she was allegedly attacked by three dogs at a home in Middlesex County, Ont.
Provincial police say officers and paramedics were called to the home on Thursday afternoon for reports that someone had died.
The girl has since been identified as Megan Fisher of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.
Police say a post-mortem determined she died of injuries sustained from three dogs on the property.
They say the dogs are currently in a shelter under a public health quarantine order.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.

Two more Toronto hospitals booking vaccine appointments for residents 50 plus

Two more Toronto hospitals are allowing residents aged 50 and over who live in COVID-19 hot spot zones in the city to book their vaccination appointments.
The Unity Health Toronto network, which includes St. Michael’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s HealthCentre, updated their priority list on Friday of who can book an appointment to receive a vaccine.
The list now includes people born in 1971 or before who live in high-risk areas across the city. The list previously included only residents aged 60 and up and select high priority groups.
To book an appointment at St. Joseph’s, these individuals must live in areas with postal codes starting with M6K, M6N, M8V, M9A, M9B, M9C, M9R, M9V and M9W. ....
