Campylobacter and
Salmonella bacteria across Europe appears to be stabilizing over the past five years. This is according to the latest report on zoonotic diseases by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
Campylobacteriosis is the most reported gastrointestinal disease in the EU since 2005 and affected more than 220,000 people in 2019. Salmonellosis was the second most reported zoonotic disease in the EU, affecting about 88,000 people.
Of the 66,113 samples of ready-to-eat foods (foods that do not need to be cooked prior to consumption), 0.3 percent tested positive for ....

Step 2: Gradually add 3 1/2 cups of the flour to make a thick batter. Beat in the room temperature butter, one tablespoon at a time, waiting for the first addition to be absorbed before adding more (6 tablespoons in total).
Step 3: Gradually add enough of the remaining flour (about 1 1/2 more cups) to make a soft dough that cleans the bowl. Switch to the dough hook and mix on medium-low speed, occasionally pulling down the dough as it climbs up the hook until the dough is smooth, shiny and slightly sticky (do not add too much flour), about 8 minutes. ....
