Southampton man threatened to kill people in Facebook live clip

A SOUTHAMPTON man “flipped” and stole his boss’s car before threatening to kill people in a social media video.
Lee Christopher Gough posted the clip of himself on Facebook wielding a knife in his hand.
The 35-year-old said he was going to kill unnamed people and that he was driving a stolen vehicle.
Prosecution barrister, Christopher Pix, told Southampton Crown Court that Gough, of Northam Road, drove from Ringwood to Southampton where he intended to drive off a pier.
The defendant had been drinking in pubs in the New Forest town with his boss and watching the England vs Croatia game on June 13 this year. ....

Afghanistan role for 11 county reservists

COURAGEOUS Territorial Army recruits from Herefordshire are promoting peace in distant lands.
Eleven county soldiers travelled to Kabul in Afghanistan last Saturday on a three-month mission peace keeping, patrolling and assisting local police forces.
Among the men, who are all members of the reconnaissance platoon from Hereford which is part of the West Midlands Regiment, was Sergeant Stuart Cotterall who has spent 18 years in the services.
The postman from Hereford, who has a wife and three children, first got involved with the TA after chatting with a friend. My father was also in the TA and the armed services, he added. ....
