CSUN has been awarded the Military Friendly Campus designation for 2021-22 by the Military Friendly® organization. The organization has identified CSUN as a university that has a comprehensive and meaningful commitment to serving the military and veteran community, in terms of actual outcomes and impact. CSUN provides many services on and off campus to students and alumni military members and veterans. For example, the Veterans Resource Center (VRC), opened on campus in 2012, assists CSUN students as they transition from military service to academic success by providing supportive services, resources and community-building events. ....
CRDB Bank’s quest to uplift women to senior managerial positions 12 CRDB Bank’s quest to uplift women to senior managerial positions SEVERAL initiatives have been undertaken by CRDB Bank Plc’s management to ensure that more women are incorporated into senior decision making positions and close the gender gap. One such project is known as ‘SHE Initiative with a theme of Redefining HER story’ has been implemented since October 2019, following an analysis of the gender representation across the bank. “SHE Initiative Program helps to build the capacity of CRDB Bank’s women employees to participate in decision-making by creating fair representation of women at the decision-making levels,” CRDB Managing Director, Abdulmajid Nsekela said in Dar es Salaam last week while commenting on successes being made by women bankers in various fora. ....

The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County is providing those opportunities for more than 3,750 children annually. Government of Japan funded education project inaugurated in Jamrud, Khyber District, KPK Islamabad, February 24, 2021 (PPI-OT): H.E. MATSUDA Kuninori, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, on Wednesday, 24th February 2021, inaugurated the project for re-expansion of Primary School in Village Raziq Kalay being managed by Learning Awareness and Motivation Program (LAMP), a non-governmental organization, in Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Government of Japan, under its Grant Assistance, had provided financial assistance of USD 73,514 (Equivalent to around PKR 11.4 million) for this project. The NGO, community representatives and school students attended the inauguration ceremony. It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of Japan had extended financial assistance to LAMP in fiscal years 2011 and 2015, for the establishment and subsequent expansion of classrooms in this school to provide safe and comfortable learning environment. Local Journalism Initiative Reporter At the South Algonquin Business Association virtual event held Feb. 4 via Zoom, participants at the event were treated to some valuable information and advice from Kate Monk from Explorers’ Edge, Carolyn Barker-Brown from Community Futures, and Lori Marcil from Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario, to navigate the uncertain spring tourism season due to the ongoing pandemic. Each presenter also explained the steps their organization had taken to help tourism businesses through COVID-19. SABA chair Gabriela Hairabedian and secretary Angela Pollak moderated the meeting, and thanked their guest presenters and everyone who was in attendance. Kate Monk, the senior director of strategy and communications with Explorers’ Edge was first to present.
