Nelson is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening, 2nd degree, related to the two phone calls about the active shooter, which are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in a state penitentiary; and one count of terroristic threatening, 1st degree, for the bomb threat, which is a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in a state penitentiary.
