Cachar voter awareness campaign sets record by creating longest street Rangoli The record was attempted by the district administration on March 14 at Barkhola constituency area of Cachar District of Assam. | 15 March 2021 9:21 AM GMT SILCHAR: In a bid to encourage voters to exercise their franchise in the upcoming assembly elections, the Cachar district administration has been making efforts to create awareness among the masses. However, one such effort has found a place in the 2022 edition of the India Book of Records. The recognition was granted for creating the longest rangoli on voters awareness. The record was attempted by the district administration on March 14 at Barkhola constituency area of Cachar District of Assam. The process to make the 8 kilometre-long rangoli on the street was completed within 24 hours. ....

Rangoli competition held to create awareness on voting Updated: Updated: Share Article AAA To create awareness on the need to vote in the Assembly election, rangoli competition and administering of awareness pledge were held at the Collectorate on Wednesday. As part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) that aims at achieving 100% voting in the election, employees of Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission and Mahalir Thittam took part in a rangoli competition. The rangolis stressed on the need to vote, displayed date of polling, the toll-free number to lodge election-related complaints at 1950 and also the cVIGIL app that enables citizens to lodge complaints related to violation of model code of conduct. Also, women employees performed ‘kummi pattu’ and asked electors to exercise their franchise without fail. ....
