PDRM has revealed that they will be enlisting the help of high tech drones to monitor residential areas during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri period,

Cops to thoroughly vet applications for cross-border travel

IPOH: The police will conduct thorough checks to ensure that applicants are truthful when applying for permission to cross borders, says Comm Datuk Kasuahdi Ali.
The Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order deputy director said the police would filter through the applications at the respective police stations before approving the permit to cross states.

Police to come down harder on MCO flouters


With the movement control order being extended to Feb 18, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador (
pic) said the time for warnings or advice for SOP flouters is over.
“Stricter enforcement is the way forward as we are very serious in our effort to stop the spread of the virus.
“We hope the public will comply as our ultimate goal is to break the chain of infection.
“So far, we have issued thousands of compounds for various offences, including for those who did not adhere to interstate travel restrictions. We are determined to enforce that order, ” he said when contacted.

IGP: No more warnings or advice, MCO violators face stern action


KUALA LUMPUR: Firm, stern action will be taken against those who fail to adhere to Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) following the extension of the movement control order (MCO), says Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
The Inspector-General of Police said a total of 2,285 compliance operation teams, who are on duty daily, have been instructed to be more thorough in their patrols.
The operation teams have also been directed to take firmer actions against SOP violators.
So far, we have issued thousands of compounds for various offences, including those travelling interstate without permission.
We are determined to enforce the order strictly, he said when contacted on Tuesday (Feb 2). ....
