As cases rise, Admn designates Ist, 2nd referral hospitals across Kashmir

SRINAGAR, May 15: In order to further streamline the patient care across Kashmir in view of the increase in COVID-19 positive cases, the divisional administration, Kashmir today designated first and second referral hospitals.
The administration has identified hospitals in the peripheries as first referrals as well as tertiary care hospitals in Srinagar as second referrals while directing the officers in the districts to refer the patients in case of dire emergency aiming to avoid overwhelming the tertiary care system.
An order issued here by Divisional Commissioner, Pandurang K. Pole stated that in supersession of previous orders and to streamline the patient referral from Dedicated District COVID-19 Hospitals to Tertiary Care Hospitals of District Srinagar and to avoid overwhelming of tertiary care hospitals. “It has been decided that the patients can be referred to tertiary care hospitals only in case of dire emergency, as per the following arrangemen ....

Divisional Administration, Kashmir Established Triage Centers for COVID-19 Patients

As the recent surge in Covid-19 positive cases has resulted in increase in bed occupancy rate in the Tertiary Care Hospitals (Category 1) in Srinagar, the Divisional Administration established Tirage Centers to utilize the hospital beds of Tertiary Care Hospitals including SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, Chest Disease, Hospital, Srinagar, SMHS, Hospital, Srinagar, Kashmir Nursing Home, Srinagar, JLNM, Hospital, Srinagar and  PHC, Chanapora, Srinagar.
The Div Com, Kashmir issued an order in this regard which reads that for effectively and judiciously use of beds in the hospitals it has become imperative to establish Triage Centres which shall form the first Nodal point for Covid-19 patients, where they shall be assessed by the designated team of Health professionals.  ....

Govt establishes NIT Sgr, SKIMS JVC Bemina As Triage Centers
SRINAGAR: The divisional administration Kashmir on Thursday ordered establishment of Triage Centers at NIT Campus Hazratbal Srinagar and SKIMS-JVC, Bemina Srinagar, saying that these centers shall work as first contact point for patients in district Srinagar.
In an order under number 24 OF DIVCOM 2021, dated 05 -05-2021, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P K Pole said that the recent surge in Covid-19 positive cases has resulted in increase in bed occupancy rate in the Tertiary Care Hospitals (Category 1) in Srinagar.
“Therefore, in order to utilize the hospital beds in following Tertiary Care Hospitals, SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar, Chest Disease, Hospital, Srinagar, SMHS, Hospital, Srinagar, Kashmir Nursing Home, Srinagar, JLNM, Hospital, Srinagar and PHC, Chanapora, Srinagar.
