We are on the home stretch in the 2021 AFLW season, with this round and next to determine the shape of the final six.
There will be two matches in Queensland this weekend, with the Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions hosting Carlton and North Melbourne respectively, with the latter match to serve as a curtain raiser to the men’s match between the Lions and Sydney Swans on Saturday night.
Elsewhere, the Giants will start hot favourites against the Cats in Geelong, while Collingwood – fresh off their first defeat of the season – will be heavily favoured to hit back when they tackle St Kilda at Victoria Park. ....

With three rounds remaining until the finals get underway, now is the time for the premiership contenders to really prove their worth.
However, once again, the round will be bookended by two clashes between four struggling sides, with the winless Suns’ best chance of nabbing a win coming when they kick off proceedings against Richmond at Metricon Stadium on Friday night.
The other match between two bottom sides sees the West Coast Eagles host the Geelong Cats, with a win set to prove precious in the battle to avoid finishing at or near the bottom of the ladder. ....

Round 6 of the AFLW season has been released – the highlight of which is a blockbuster clash between Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs at Victoria Park on Sunday.
For several other teams, this is just about the last roll of the dice, with the Giants’ finals hopes hinging on a tough home clash with the Brisbane Lions in what will be the first AFL or AFLW match to be played in Canberra since August 2019.
St Kilda’s finals aspirations will also go on the line when they face Melbourne at Casey Fields, while we will have our first return clash in AFLW history when the West Coast Eagles and Fremantle contest the second Western Derby of the season, to be played with fans in attendance. ....
