Several matters up for Assembly approval Monday

One deals with amending the Uniform Alaska Remote Seller Sales Tax Code.
The state commission adopted revisions at its meeting earlier this year. The intergovernmental agreement establishing the commission calls for all members, which includes Juneau s local government, to adopt the revisions within 120 days.
In addition to a number of clerical and technical changes, it also clarifies that all services are subject to sales tax at their destination jurisdiction. City Manager Rorie Watt says the change will spur a corresponding adjustment to Juneau s local sales tax code in a separate forthcoming ordinance. The goal is to capture tax on Internet sales. ....
