LANSDALE — As the North Penn school board starts to plan its 2021-22 budget, two big properties are in court on assessment appeals, the results of which could greatly affect property tax revenue.
District CFO Steve Skrocki reported this week that two properties, including one of the biggest taxpayers in the district, could soon be headed to court over their assessed property values.
We typically try to settle these assessment appeal cases, both initiated by the school district and by the property owner, we try to settle these without appraisals, Skrocki said.

Basically, a judge in the county courthouse has been assigned to mediate these cases, and the judge pretty much demands appraisals be done as part of the negotiation process, he said. ....
