On Wednesday, Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland delivered the annual State of the City address on the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. A full transcript. ofHolland’s prepared remarks is below.
Holland also recognized the year’s recipients of three awards:
Citizen of the Year – Greg Peters, Pastor of Parkview Baptist Church. Peters was honored for his partnership and efforts in mobilizing the community behind the successful ‘Feed Palm Coast’ initiative. Peters also continued efforts to support food drives, brought the community together with the Palm Coast Unites event, and other charitable work. Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland delivered the annual State of the City address on April 28, touting the city s economic development and infrastructure improvements as the city government navigated through the challenges imposed by COVID-19.
We stayed focused, paying close attention to the needs of our developing community, Holland said. We strengthened partnerships and stayed attuned to ever-changing opportunities to deliver on your priorities.

Businesses urged to apply for relief funds | News, Sports, Jobs

LEWISTOWN More than $419,000 in relief money for hospitality businesses whose bottom lines in 2020 were negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is available now in Mifflin County and the Mifflin County Commissioners urged businesses to apply as soon as possible.
The program administered by SEDA-Council of Governments, called the COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Program, or CHIRP, awards grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 to businesses in the hospitality industry such as hotels and restaurants that suffered losses in 2020 due to the pandemic.
Mifflin County Planning Director Mark Colussy spoke during Thursday morning’s regular meeting of the commissioners and reported that while some businesses have applied and been approved, there’s still lots more help available. ....

City of Palm Coast residents are invited to give input to help shape the future of Palm Coast by taking the 2020-2021 Citizen Survey from Friday, Jan. 1, through Sunday, Jan. 31.
The survey can be taken online at palmcoastconnect.com/s/citizen-survey and also accessed through an available QR code. Residents can take a paper survey in person during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at Palm Coast City Hall, 160 Lake Ave.; Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy.
