Efforts to restore power in Mississippi were progressing Sunday, according to power outages reported by both Entergy and PowerOutage.US.
Statewide, all utilities showed 28,366 energy customers were without power across the state at 4:25 p.m. Sunday, down from about 71,000 at 11 a.m. Saturday, according to data from PowerOutage.US. That included 4,304 in Hinds County, 49 in Rankin County and 229 in Madison County.
