Non-profits help Nashville bombing survivors
Their goal, to bring in the new year with new hope.
On Friday at 1PM, the Community Resource Center will start offering hygiene kits as well as food boxes from the Second Harvest Food Bank during a “Nashville Strong” drive thru.
Thursday, volunteers at the CRC were assembling about 1,500 kits in preparation. Executive Director Tina Doniger said, “Primarily focused on the 41 businesses and their employees that need a little love right now.” Their efforts also include help for residents.
Doniger said, “This might alleviate a little bit of need for them, kind of fill a bit of a gap but the goal also is that they receive the information in order to get into case management.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â The Community Resource Center and Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee have partnered to provide essential items for those affected by the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville.
The boxes, which include food and items like hygiene products and diapers were picked up during a âNashville Strongâ drive-thru at the Community Resource Center. It s really the non-profit community just wrapping their arms around these survivors, said Tina Doniger, the Executive Director of the Community Resource Center. The hope would be that this would be that first outreach of a little bit of love and support from the community.
