Today, the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force received a $132,876 forfeiture award from the U.S. Department of Justice as a result of dismantling a fentanyl laced-pill drug trafficking ring in the greater Tri-City area.
The Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force is made up of officers from Kennewick Police, Richland Police, Pasco Police, West Richland Police, the Benton County Sheriff s Office, and the Franklin County Sheriff s Office.
The coordination and cooperation among local law enforcement agencies went a long way in busting two Kennewick bad guys with one suspect still on the run: ....

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — One man was arrested when authorities discovered about 20 pounds of suspected methamphetamine in Adams County.
On Jan. 7, authorities arrested Fernando Arellano Villa-Gomez, 22, in Westminster, the Adams County Sheriff s Office said. While details weren t available, the sheriff s office said authorities recovered more than 20 pounds of suspected methamphetamine in connection to his arrest.
The arrest was the result of a collaborative effort by the Front Range Task Force, North Metro Drug Task Force, and Westminster Police Department. ....

DENVER — A dozen people known by law enforcement as The Family have been indicted in Denver on organized crime charges, accused of committing robbery, extortion and other felonies to support their methamphetamine addiction, prosecutors said.
A grand jury indicted the suspects on Dec. 2, the Denver District Attorney s Office announced on Monday.
The suspects were led by Sarah Marie Lore, 38, known as Street Mom, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors accused Lore of brokering deals over Facebook and maintaining the group s operations through violent attacks, a news release from the district attorney s office said. ....
