Mumbai Metro-2B: Mandale Depot Work Allotted To New Contractor After Just 7 Per Cent Progress In 2 Years

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has handed the contract of the Mandale Depot Works for Metro-2B to a new contractor at a 14 per cent highest cost than the prior estimation,
Hindustan Times has reported.
The responsibility to carry out the work was initially given to a firm in January 2018 at a cost of Rs 390.43 crores. In contrast the new contract is worth Rs 530.32 crore though the initial evaluation of the project was around Rs 464.75 crore. ....

Work On Kanpur Metro Progresses At Rapid Pace, 200 U-Girders Erected In Record 130 Days

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (UPMRC) has erected 200 ‘U-girders’ under the Priority Corridor from IIT Kanpur-Motijheel within the specified time frame, Metro Rail News
622 ‘U-girders’ have to be setup under the initiative for the Kanpur Metro Project.
The UPMRC built 100 ‘U-girders’ in 67 days whereas the next 100 were established in 64 days. Moreover, a base of around 2.5 km for the laying of the metro track has also been prepared.
“UPMRC has again achieved a milestone by erecting 200 U-girders at a very fast speed on the Kanpur Metro Project that too in ongoing difficult COVID times. The Whole team of highly professional UPMRC’s engineers and the contractor are leaving no stone unturned to achieve the targets.
