ADUSA Distribution adds jobs in Greencastle after Food Lions remodeled

The facility s volume is up 25 percent due to 112 remodeled and 20 new stores, as well as more people eating at home during the pandemic, Snavely said.
The site is a full-service distribution center, dealing with everything from dry goods, frozen foods and dairy items to health and beauty aids in both private store label and national brands. Workers handle three million cases a week or 156 million annually, according to Snavely, who said a case typically includes 12 to 24 units.
The transportation fleet travels 33,000 miles a day or 12 million miles a year.

911 service completely restored in 13 Pennsylvania counties

Franklin County Chairman Commissioner Dave Keller announced Thursday that all 911 service has been restored to the county.
PEMA officials report that service to the other dozen counties had been completely restored by 1 .
That means all 911 emergency non-emergency phone lines and all Franklin County Department of Emergency Services call center operations are functional.
Franklin County has an outstanding network of emergency service providers who stepped in to receive direct calls from residents with emergencies. Fortunately, no serious issues were reported as a result of the outage, Keller said in a statement.
Service was out for approximately 20 hours. ....

Saranac-based Herbruckâs Poultry Ranch, the largest egg producer in Michigan, donated more than 1.6 million eggs in 2020.
The family farm typically donates about 1 million eggs per year, however, the pandemic forced the increase in donations to help families who have been impacted by COVID-19.
âCOVID-19 has affected so many of our local families, and we want to do what we can to support our neighbors,â Herbruckâs President Greg Herbruck said. âBy donating eggs to food banks, we have been able to help ensure families are still getting nutritious food during an extremely challenging time.â ....

SARANAC, MI – Michigan’s largest egg producer has been doing its part to help families in need throughout 2020.
Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch in Ionia County announced Wednesday that it donated more than 1.6 million eggs in 2020, a year which brought numerous challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That number surpasses amounts donated by Herbruck’s in past years, according to a news release.
“COVID-19 has affected so many of our local families, and we want to do what we can to support our neighbors,” said Herbruck’s President Greg Herbruck. “By donating eggs to food banks, we have been able to help ensure families are still getting nutritious food during an extremely challenging time.” ....
