BATON ROUGE, La. The Louisiana Department of Education and LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center are helping educators and families better understand childhood obesity. Louisiana Fit Kids, a partnership between the Department and the research center, is hosting a webinar for families, teachers, school administrators, guidance counselors, child nutrition program professionals and other interested stakeholders.
Understanding Childhood Obesity will take place April 21 at 1:30 p.m. This live event will feature Dr. Peter Katzmarzyk and Dr. Candace Myers with Pennington Biomedical Research Center and Dr. Leah Robinson from the University of Michigan.
