11 May 2021, 09:58
The housebuilder has expanded its North West land and planning department with the appointment of Max Mutemererwa as land manager and Megan Holden as assistant land manager.
Taylor Wimpey is ramping up its land acquisitions in the region, with its latest buys including land off Liverpool Road in Prescot with planning permission for a 227-unit residential development known as Orchard Park.
In addition, the company has recently been selected by government agency Homes England as the preferred housebuilder for the 325-home David Whitby Way development in Crewe.
Mutemererwa joins from Avant Homes where he was land manager, and he was previously a land buyer at Countryside. Prior to that, he was assistant land buyer at retirement housing specialist McCarthy & Stone.

Warning to parents as bus drivers verbally abused by Burnley teens refusing to wear face masks

Burnley bus station
Parents are being warned over groups of teens gathering in a bus station in large groups, none of them wearing masks.
Police in Burnley say they have been patrolling the town's bus station this week, round about the time schools finish, and have been shocked at the amount of youths not wearing face coverings.
PC Megan Holden from Burnley's Neighbourhood Police team said she believed many of the teens were carrying masks in their pockets but had chosen not to wear them.
She had also received reports of verbal abuse directed at bus station staff who were asking the children to put their face masks on.
