Citing missed collections and resident complaints, Palm Coast is warning Waste Pro that it is in violation of its contract, according to a city press release.
Palm Coast has fined Waste Pro $29,280 from Jan. 1 through May 25 for failing to comply with the terms of its contract with the city, the release states.
At least 4,565 resident complaints over missed collections have been submitted over the past six-months, even after an April 1 memorandum was received by the city from Waste Pros’ Vice President indicating that service would return to satisfactory levels.  ....

SOMERVILLE Eagles won their first State 4 fixture when they overran Dingley Stars 7-2 at Tyabb Central Reserve on Saturday.
Dingley already was in disarray having dumped coach Stan Webster a few days earlier and Somerville showed no mercy with a Bryce Ruthven free-kick in the opening minute making it 1-0.

A Scholes foul inside the box late in the half earned Dingley a penalty which Koray Yildirim converted to make it 3-1. ....

Council giveth and taketh away car parks around Nelson

A third space will be allocated near the Nelson Centre for Musical Arts (NCMA) on Nile St. The space was prompted by the high usage of an existing mobility parking space which was designated in 2019.
Other changes included setting 90-minute time limited parks on Muritai St outside the Super Liquor to 10-minute limits. Parking spaces on Parkers Rd outside the bakery will also be limited to 10-minute stays, as Parkers Rd Bakery patrons have been forced to use the footpath while long-term parkers take up spots in front of the shop.
Several new no parking areas have also been delegated after concerns were raised by members of the community, including a section of Songer St near Omaio Village, and a stretch of The Ridgeway and another on Hillard St, both near Isel Park. ....
