The Powwow that typically takes place at the Historic Sheridan Inn shortly after the parade concludes on Rodeo Friday will not be happening this year. City of Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger made the announcement during the council comments section at Tuesday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting.

The Council, at a recent study session, discussed a funding request in the amount of $10,000 from the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board for the Powwow, but the decision by the Crow Tribe to not take part in the Powwow led to the item not making it onto the agenda for consideration at Council’s business meeting Tuesday night.
