The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved proposals of Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) for construction of various infrastructure projects totalling Rs 7,725.05 crore.
These include projects in Krishnapatnam Industrial Area in Andhra Pradesh with an estimated cost of the project of Rs. 2,139.44 crore; Tumakuru Industrial Area in Karnataka with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,701.81 crore and the Multi-Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) and Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh with an estimated cost of Rs. 3,883.80 crore. ....

No slowing down of trains on dedicated freight corridor | India News

NEW DELHI: Unlike all other rail routes, the freight trains on the 351-km New Bhaupur-New Khurja section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) won’t need to slow down all along this stretch. Sources said this will be one of the unique features of the two dedicated freight corridors.
An official said the train that was flagged off by PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday at a designated speed of 60 kmph clocked 59.6 km per hour during the full run. While the design speed of even the fastest passenger trains such Rajdhani and Shatabdi is more, the average speed falls since on several stretches there are cautions to slow down. ....
