City man allegedly made threats
Weldon Fletcher, 41, of 1421 W. Fourth St., has been jailed on charges of allegedly threatening a woman and her son first with a machete and then with a handgun, city police said.
Police responded to Fletcher’s home to handle a domestic situation about 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said Fletcher allegedly threatened Shanee Gaines and her son with a machete following an argument between Fletcher and Gaines inside the home.
After Gaines managed to convince Fletcher to put down the machete, Fletcher then obtained a handgun and began waving it around, pointing it at both Gaines and her son and threatening to kill them, police alleged. After obtaining a search warrant, officers went through the home and seized two handguns and a machete. ....

Three face drug charges in separate cases
Alleged cocaine dealer Donte Outland was taken into custody and incarcerated on felony drug and firearms charges following a vehicle stop on Interstate 180 on the afternoon of March 11, city police said.
There was some tense moments when Outland, 27, of Lock Haven, admitted he had a weapon him.
“Gun,” one officer yelled at another as efforts were made to restrain Outland, a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped near the Route 15 North interchange.
Outland made several attempts to pull his hands and arms back as the officers pulled him out of the car, according to an affidavit. Once Outland was handcuffed, police retrieved a loaded handgun from his waistband. The serial number of the weapon had been removed. ....

Woman charged with assaulting child
Arriving on the scene of child-abuse case on March 9, city Patrolman Brandon Wheeler immediately saw the injuries on the little girl’s face.
“She had a bloody nose and there also was swollen spot on the right side of her head,” the officer said in an affidavit.
Katina Blackwell, 37, of 627 Fourth Ave., has been charged with numerous offenses for punching the girl multiple times in the face and hitting her with hairbrush, Blackwell alleged.
A county Children and Youth caseworker responded and also interviewed the victim, whose injuries were photographed. “Older bruises were discovered all the way up her arms,” the officer said. ....
