Boil water advisory in effect for Endicott, Endwell, and West Corners until further notice
Unmute
(WBNG) The Village of Endicott Water Department has issued a boil water advisory until further notice for the entire Endicott Water District, which includes the Village, West Endicott and Endwell.
The advisory could last for three to four days, according to a news release.
According to officials, around 10 p.m. on Thursday, Endicott s water system lost pressure due to a main line break between West Wendell Street and Glendale Drive. When the distribution pipes and mains lose pressure, the department says it increases the chance of harmful microbes and untreated water.
