DOMINIC A. BOOTH
Dominic Andrew Booth, 18, also known as Big Dom, of Millerstown died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Hershey Medical Center. He was a super hero, donating all of his organs through Gift of Life. He provided other families’ loved ones to have the opportunity to have a second chance at life.
He was born July 15, 2002, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, to Harold Jr. and JoAnn Marie (Thomas) Booth.
He completed his junior year at Greenwood High School. He loved playing video games on his computer, magic cards and playing with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing recreational soccer through Ickesburg and played on the Greenwood High School team. He was a member of Cub Pack 7 of Millerstown and Boy Scout Troop 7 of Youngs United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale. He worked at Hidden Valley Scout Camp, Loysville, for one summer. He loved his best friend Thomas Ros ....

Bender has served in his current role for the past five years.
A native of Perry County, Bender lives in Saville Township with his wife Sarah and their two young children. They are expecting their third child this spring.
Bender is a graduate of West Perry High School, Lebanon Valley College and Villanova University School of Law. He began his legal career as a law clerk in the Court of Common Pleas of the 41st Judicial District. Before being elected District Attorney in 2015, Bender served as an assistant district attorney in Perry County and later as an attorney for the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, where most of his time was spent on child abuse appeals. ....

PERRY COUNTY, Pa. The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank announced it has received a $100,000 gift from the Partnership for Better Health to support its pantry programs in Perry County.
Prior to the COVID-19 crisis, nearly 15 percent of children in Perry County were food insecure, meaning they do not have reliable access to three healthy meals every day, the Food Bank said. Due to the economic consequences of the pandemic, that number is now at nearly 20 percent. ....

Police believe electronics were stolen from multiple parked trailers along Ames Drive in Dickinson Township between Dec. 11 and Dec. 12. Police said someone gained entry into the area by cutting a fence along the property. Police seek information.
State Police at Newport (717-567-3110)
Police are investigating a reported theft of gas from a station on Juniata Parkway East in Howe Township at 7:47 p.m. Nov. 18, police reported Dec. 14. Police said someone pumped $46 worth of gas and left without paying. The vehicle involved was a burgundy pick-up.
Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in the 600 block of North Fourth Street in Oliver Township. Police said an unknown vehicle was traveling north on Fourth Street when it veered off the road and struck a parked vehicle between Dec. 10 and Dec. 11. Police said the driver fled without leaving any information. ....
