ITV News Calendar presenter Christine Talbot announced this evening that she is leaving the programme after 20 years.
Christine, 51, has been the main co-anchor on Calendar since 2001, when she first appeared with Geoff Druett and in more recent years alongside Duncan Wood. She will leave at the end of June.

ITV News Calendar presenter Christine Talbot announced this evening that she is leaving the programme after 20 years.
Christine, 51, has been the main co-anchor on Calendar since 2001, when she first appeared with Geoff Druett and in more recent years alongside Duncan Wood. She will leave at the end of June.

Southcote Clinic In a letter to stakeholders in March, Helen Clark, the local director of primary care, said: “The restrictions around Covid mean GP services at the Southcote Clinic have not taken place since last March. “During that time staff have been caring for patients either remotely or with consultations at Longbarn Lane which is part of the same practice. “As Longbarn Lane Practice begin to plan services post-Covid, they are looking at the most efficient and effective ways of providing healthcare for the communities they serve, and they feel the best way forward is to consolidate medical services and support at Longbarn Lane Surgery.

The latest NHS figures show that 51,103 people in West Berkshire had received at least one jab by March 7 – that is more than 40 per cent of the adult population. Berkshire West Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is now holding discussions with GPs and pharmacists about plans for “targeted” pop-up clinics, as they look to vaccinate as many adults as possible. Katie Summers, operations director at the CCG, said some people do not feel safe at mass vaccination centres, so they are looking to set up clinics at “temples, mosques, churches and community centres”.
