If you found yourself on Western Avenue in Augusta about lunch time today you may have noticed a bunch of blue t-shirt wearing students making their way around St. Michaels Catholic School. It was hard to miss all those students.but what was going on?
It was a walk-a-thon to help raise funds to help cover the cost for a family to spend time at the The Travis Mills retreat.
Due to the pandemic trying to get this years walk-a-thon off the ground was no easy task, according to centralmaine.com, a few parents from students at the school had students start walking a month ago and the second part was done today outside at the school in perfect weather. ....

Several pop-up food pantries have been scheduled over the next month throughout Huron and Tuscola counties to help those who may be struggling put food on the table. (Tribune File Photo)
UPPER THUMB Several pop-up food pantries have been scheduled over the next month throughout Huron and Tuscola counties to help those who may be struggling put food on the table.
Pantry workers will use social distancing practices as volunteers distribute food. Those picking up food will be asked to remain in their vehicles with their windows rolled up as they drive along the pick-up route. They are asked to clean out their trunks or backs of their vehicles so volunteers can quickly and efficiently load food items. ....
