Mainers applying for round of paycheck protection loans

https://www.federalpay.org/pay.Thousands of Maine businesses have begun applying for the newest round of the Paycheck Protection Program.
Applications for a new round of the federally-backed loans opened this month, allowing most borrowers to receive up to $2 million. Sign up for our Newsletters
The program was first introduced last year early in the coronavirus pandemic to incentivize small businesses to keep workers on the payroll. According to FerderalPay.org, more than 28,000 Maine businesses and nonprofits received funding through the program.
Businesses with 300 or fewer employees who reported at least a 25% revenue loss last year are eligible for the loans. ....
