Ralph ‘Bud’ Fisher passed away on Sunday at 92 years old.
Bud and his brothers took over and grew the family business, Fisher Sand and Gravel before founding Central Concrete Products in 1955.
Bud and his brothers also opened Bucks Run Golf Club in 2000, which grew into one of the most popular golfing destinations in the area.
He was also honored for his work by the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“He was a great community leader, the Mt. Pleasant Convention and Visitors Bureau honored him in 2009 with the Mt. Pleasant Convention and Visitors Bureau tourism award, and that’s given to someone who’s made an impact on tourism in Isabella County, and certainly one of his greatest is Bucks Run Golf Club,” said Chris Rowley, Executive Director of the Mt. Pleasant Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. ....

Mt. Pleasant entrepreneur Bud Fisher dies at 92

Visitation is Wednesday and a funeral service Thursday for Mt. Pleasant entrepreneur Bud Fisher, whose companies have provided the paving materials for businesses and public roads throughout mid-Michigan for decades.
Ralph Bud Fisher, one of three brothers who took over and expanded the businesses their parents Ralph Eugene and Zelda founded in 1925, died at home with his family by his side on Sunday.
He was 92.

Fisher is perhaps most recently known as the developer of Buck s Run Golf Club, which opened in 2000 northeast of Mt. Pleasant on the site of a defunct gravel pit the Fisher Companies had operated. ....
