Professor Carl Heneghan, Director of The Centre for Evidence Based Medicine (CEBM) at Oxford University, joined talkRADIO host Julia Hartley-Brewer’s breakfast show earlier today.
Prof. Heneghan said there’s still “no evidence” to reduce the uncertainty of whether masking kids in schools works or not, adding:
“In the absence of evidence, if you think they should be wearing them, go and talk to some children. That’s what I’ve done. And said: ‘What’s the reality on the ground? What’s it like for you in class? How does it feel?’ And I can tell you, they hate them. They find it really difficult.” ....

Scientists say vaccines cut deaths by 98% as they call to end ALL restrictions


Leading scientists are calling on the Government to remove all coronavirus restrictions and allow people to ‘take back control of their own lives’ when the ‘roadmap’ to freedom ends in June.
With real-world data showing vaccines reduce the risk of death by 98 per cent and hospitalisations by more than 80 per cent, the experts say Covid-19 is being turned into a ‘mild’ disease in Britain, akin to the flu.
In an open letter to The Mail on Sunday, they criticise ‘confused and contradictory’ messages from Ministers and scientific advisers about the virus, which they say are exaggerating the real threat.

THE UK has the lowest Covid cases in Europe, data shows amid calls for a faster lockdown easing.
In the past week, 173 cases in every million people have been diagnosed.

On the other end of the scale and 25 times higher, Cyprus has recorded 4,356 cases per million people in the past week, according to Our World in Data.
Neighbouring France has 3,892, Germany 1,720 and Spain 1,253.
Swathes of EU nations have either extended lockdowns, or tightened restrictions further.
With a third wave playing out only across the channel, the PM has been cautious not to lift restrictions too quickly. ....
