During executive officer reports, Academic Affairs Vice President, or AAVP, Nicole Anyanwu told the ASUC Senate that pass/no pass, or P/NP, grading options had been approved by the Rausser College of Natural Resources for summer classes. Throughout the course of a week following the preliminary tabulation event, the ASUC Elections Council certified the results of the referendums from the 2021 ASUC elections, which remain to be certified by the ASUC Judicial Council amid conflicting ASUC bylaws and UC Berkeley policies. At its Monday meeting, the Elections Council certified the passage of the proposition titled Protecting the Checks and Balances of the ASUC Constitution. In accordance with campus policy on referendum fees, the three remaining propositions the Graduate Assembly Fee, Student Technology Fee and Daily Cal Initiative did not pass. Both the Elections Council and Judicial Councils must certify election results for them to be deemed final. ....

Originally scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, the preliminary tabulation for the 2021 ASUC elections was postponed to Saturday at 11 a.m. due to unforeseen technical difficulties. Elections Council chair Skyler-Myles Clinton Cobb sent a public notice email at 6:10 p.m. to reflect the change of date and time. As of press time, the Elections Council is preparing for the tabulation which, according to ASUC bylaw 4102, section 4.1, cannot occur later than seven days after the elections period has ended. “We understand that this is a time sensitive matter and we will continue to put together the results as quickly as possible,” Cobb said in the email. ....
