James Howe, of Kingsley Gardens, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Friday. The 42-year-old admitted offences of burglary, assault by beating and theft in Rhyl on February 5. Philip Clemo, prosecuting, told the court Howe had been in a relationship with the victim - Ann Marie Railey - on and off for about six years. He’d stayed at her address in Aquarium Street, Rhyl, the night before the offences and there had been ‘no issues’. But on the day concerned, he drank vodka and took crack and heroin. AN ‘impulsive’ and ‘reckless man’ drove at high speeds during a 30-minute police chase, a court heard. Jordan Matthews, 20, of Heol Cefn in Gwersyllt, appeared at Mold Crown Court on February 18 for dangerous driving and other motoring offences as well as possession of a controlled class B drug. Prosecution Counsel Richard Edwards told the court how on December 7 police officers were patrolling the Garden City area in Deeside when they saw Matthews parked up in a Vauxhall Astra at 2.40am. When Matthews saw officers, he ‘drove off at speed’ and did not have headlights on. The court heard how he was last seen driving down Welsh Road when a short while later he was seen by officers near Aston Hill. ....
