BOARDMAN The Boardman Fire Department brought on two new full-time firefighters, bringing the department up to a staff of 39.
Ian Murray and Brandon Gilmore both joined the department, but their swearing-in ceremony has been postponed for now.
Murray, 36, was born in Germany and raised in a military family. He is a 2002 graduate of Crestwood High School. He received his firefighter II and EMT-basic certifications from Cuyahoga Community College.
Murray works part time for the Springfield Township Fire Department and attends the paramedic program through University Hospital in Parma. He lives in Tallmadge with his wife Ashley and enjoys CrossFit training and hiking with his wife and dog, Turner. ....
