Governor Cuomo announced the dedication of a major project that removed an underutilized, two-mile stretch of the former Robert Moses Parkway - now called the Niagara Scenic Parkway - in the City of Niagara Falls and created a stunning new area in Niagara Falls State Park called "Gorgeview," which provides unimpeded access to the Niagara Gorge and improved recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

Through the Reimagine the Canals initiative,  Camp Rockaway , a New York State based outdoor excursion company, will manage the site at Lock C-5 on the Champlain Canal in Schuylerville between Memorial Day weekend and September 8, with possible extension through early October. The glamping site will offer vacationing New Yorkers an opportunity to experience the vast history and bucolic landscapes of one of New York s oldest canalside communities by enjoying luxury camping on the banks of the Canal.

WYSIWYG Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that Madison County officials selected Savarino Companies of Buffalo to develop the transformative  Pocket Neighborhood  project along the Old Erie Canal in the Central New York community of Canastota, 25 miles east of Syracuse.  As the developer, Savarino Companies - supported by STREAM Collaborative of Ithaca and CJS Architects of Buffalo - will develop a unique pocket neighborhood that incorporates a blend of housing, mixed-use commercial space and recreational opportunities.
