AN OTLEY-based company is reducing its carbon footprint by partnering with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust to plant 3,000 trees over the next three years. From January 1 this year Tate Oil is planting a tree for every fourth order a qualifying customer places - helping the 1.5 million homeowners using heating oil to offset their carbon emissions. Working with local charity Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, the project will support its target of planting 100,000 trees within the county, including areas such as Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales. The charity will be working with land owners and farmers to facilitate the tree planting, with customers able to visit their tree. ....
