New dressing for charity funds

The team at a Ryedale business have launched a new limited-edition dressing as part of a fundraising drive for its charity of the year.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil s new Lemon and Lavender Gin Dressing is a collaboration between the Thixendale business and Bedale-based Masons of Yorkshire and is a combination of extra virgin Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and English Lavender Gin.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil s Production Manager Mathew Dixon said the company s 2021 charity of the year was Hull based registered charity Downright Special.
It s great to collaborate with other local producers, even better when we can raise money for an excellent charity at the same time. So far this year we have raised over £4,000 for Downright Special and we re hoping that sales of this delicious dressing will help to raise even more money. ....

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil launches gin-infused dressing for charity

A NORTH Yorkshire business has launched a limited-edition product in aid of a charity which supports children with Down syndrome.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil in Thixendale has joined forces with Masons of Yorkshire, Bedale, to create a Lemon and Lavender Gin Dressing.
From each sale, 35p will be donated to Downright Special, which supports families and professionals with the care and education of children with Down syndrome.
The dressing is available from farm shops, delis and independent retailers.

Team take on charity challenge

STAFF at a Ryedale business have raised over £4,000 for its charity of the year.
To celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Week ,16 members of the Thixendale-based Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil team walked, cycled or ran 662 miles for Downright Special: a charity that supports children with Down Syndrome in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The event was organised by Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil s Marcelle Tisserant, who said: Our plan was to walk, cycle or run 500 miles to raise £1000 and we re over the moon that our amazing team exceeded our expectations on terms of mileage and our fabulous supporters helped us to quadruple our fundraising target.
Louise Smith from Downright Special, said: Their support to our charity has been wonderful and to have raised over £4000 on walk is phenomenal, especially in these challenging times. ....

Rapeseed oil business' team effort to raise funds for charity

STAFF at a Thixendale-based business have pledged to walk, cycle or run 500 miles to raise funds for its charity of the year.
Between March 15 and 21, 16 members of the Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil team will each do 30 miles of their chosen activity and hope to raise £1,000 for Downright Special - a charity that supports children with Down Syndrome in Hull and East Yorkshire.
The date and the distance are both significant as March 15 marks the start of Down Syndrome Awareness Week and 30 miles is the distance between Thixendale and Downright Special s base in Hull.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil s Marcelle Tisserant, who has organised the event, said: Downright Special were our chosen charity of the year for 2020, but as the year did not go to plan for anyone, we ve decided to support them this year and look forward to starting our fundraising. ....
