Lagos School honours Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede On Kindly Share This Story: The management and staff of Roy-Dek Academy recently honoured one of Nigeria’s finest Actresses Yvonne Jegede for being consistent in paying the tuition of more than 20 pupils of the school for years. The Actress who graduated from the University of Cyprus was duly honoured by the Makoko-based school for her immense contribution to the development of the school which according to the establishment is no mean feat. It was gathered that the versatile actress has over the years been responsible for consistently paying the tuition fees of more than 20 pupils she adopted some years ago. In addition to this, she had been supplying educational materials and making voluntary donations to the school. Aside from having a ceremony to honour the actress, an exercise book was also printed by the school. ....

SERAP seeks spending details of $25Bn CBN overdrafts from 1999 On By Olasunkanmi Akoni Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to provide spending details of the overdrafts and loans obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) by the Federal Government since May 29, 2015. SERAP also demanded for the total overdrafts, the projects on which the overdrafts had been spent; repayment of all overdrafts to date, as well as to clarify whether the $25 billion about N9.7 trillion overdraft reportedly obtained from the CBN is within the five-percent limit of the actual revenue of the government for 2020. The organization is also urging him to “provide details of spending of overdrafts and loans obtained from the CBN by successive governments between 1999 and 2015.” ....
