Francois Vaillant Joins Dejero From CBC

Dejero has appointed Francois Vaillant as its new senior technical product manager. Vaillant joins Dejero from CBC (Canada Broadcasting Corp.), where he spent the last 15 years at the helm of innovation and standards, last serving as executive director of engineering solutions for the national broadcaster.
Having led CBC’s IP transformation, which started in 2017, Vaillant ensured consistency of capital investment and the unification and standardization of the company’s technical architecture. He is recognized as a pioneer of IP implementation and has been heavily involved in the development of IP standards. Over the course of his 25+ years in IT leadership roles, Vaillant has become a long-standing member of the SMPTE Board of Governors, NABA (North American Broadcast Association) and EBU (European Broadcast Union). ....

Dejero launches LivePlus for Windows

Cloud-managed mobile and remote solutions video transport and internet connectivity provider Dejero has added a Windows-based app to its LivePlus family of mobile news apps.
LivePlus for Windows allows anchors and journalists working from home or from any remote location with a wired or wireless broadband connection to transmit high-quality, live video while simultaneously receiving two ultra-low latency return video and/or teleprompter feeds. The all-in-one solution ensures that the quality of the presenter’s broadcast is not compromised since they can keep their eyes towards the camera at all times while viewing teleprompter and live programme feeds.
Dejero says the new app transmits video with a live stream of up to 20Mbps, at a latency as low as 0.8 seconds, from a Windows laptop, typically in a home-studio setting. For enhanced reliability, Dejero’s Smart Blending Technology provides the option to blend Ethernet with a Wi- ....
