Woman injured in fall from rock at Shipley Glen viewpoint | Bradford Telegraph and Argus

A WOMAN suffered hip and leg injuries when she fell from a viewpoint in Shipley Glen on Tuesday afternoon.
A number of emergency services were scrambled to the scene at 4.13pm which took place near a car park on Glen Road at Shipley Glen.
A spokesman from Rawdon Fire Station said: A lady in her 60s was sitting on a chair looking over a viewpoint. When she presumably got up, she lost her footing and has fallen off the rock in a heap 20 or 30 feet below.
She suffered hip and leg and had lacerations to her hand, but did not sustain any head injuries. ....

Firefighters save 'struggling' horse from drowning near Guiseley farm

FIRE crews from Cleckheaton helped to save a horse from drowning after they were called out to a farm yesterday.
The horse got stuck in some mud in a stream near Hopewell Farm in West Carlton, Guiseley and was struggling to keep its head above water as it was laid down on the ground, a Cleckheaton Fire Station spokesperson said.
Firefighters from Cleckheaton and Rawdon - alongside vets and a taxi driver who was at the scene - managed to lift the 28-year-old horse back to its feet and get it to a place of safety after its ordeal.
A spokesperson from Cleckheaton Fire Station said: We were called out yesterday morning at 11.23 to Hopewell Farm in West Carlton, Guiseley to reports of a horse stuck in mud in a stream. ....
