Yavapai County Fugitive In Custody After Payson Police Arrest

Robert David Pearsall III [Photo courtesy Yavapai County Sheriff s Office] A fugitive from Yavapai County, Robert David Pearsall III, who was convicted in 2019 on charges of attempted 1st degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault, was captured by Payson Police and taken into custody after three years on the run on July 22, 2021. Pearsall’s 2019 convictions stemmed from a 2018 incident when he viciously attacked a man at a campsite, hitting him repeatedly with a board. The victim suffered multiple injuries including a severe head injury and partial loss of his ear. Pearsall was out on bond at the time of his trial but then fled before his conviction was final.

Yavapai Silent Witness Catch 22 Day 1 Suspect Arrested In Payson – KAFF News – Flagstaff

Yavapai Silent Witness’ Day 1 “Catch 22” suspect has been arrested in Payson. Forty-three-year-old Robert Pearsall was convicted of attempted first degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault in 2019. He was out on bond at the time of his trail, but fled before his conviction was final. Yavapai County Sheriff’s officials say Pearsall approached a man in the Drake area of Prescott back on September 8th, 2018 and without warning, struck the man in the head, face and chest multiple times with a hardened piece of wood. The attack caused severe swelling and blood loss to the head and face of the victim. Pearsall fled the scene after being confronted by witnesses. The victim survived the attack, but suffered a concussion, partial loss of his right ear and multiple cuts and bruises. Early Thursday morning, Pearsall was stopped by Payson Police for a traffic violation on a moped, but then fled after the officer asked for ID. The officer was able to take him into custody
