The final day for the last remaining police department employee is Thursday. âPeople are scared, and people need hope,â Shelby County resident Laura Carroll said. Carroll is a paramedic with the Cityâs Volunteer Ambulance Service. She said her concern is having limited coverage there for safety. ....

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to keep SCMC’s doors closed for in-person concerts, the organization remains committed to bringing ongoing great music to the community virtually. The new concerts will include popular Michigan artists performing live from SCMC’s Royce Auditorium stage, for viewers to watch free virtually on SCMC’s Facebook and YouTube channels. In addition to the Michigan artist series, SCMC will feature virtual performances from artists who were to perform on the Jazz and Acoustic Café Folk Series. ....
