19 May 2021 – “Playing in the Sasol League is the best thing that could ever happen to these players, and even though we are still struggling to get positive results, we are proud of this opportunity we have been given to be part of this league.”
These are the words of Buti Sam Mongale, better known as BS Mongale.
He is the owner and coach of the Sasol League club We Can Ladies FC, based in the Setlagole Village, North West province.
Mongale says they are in a tight spot as they have been unable to register some of their players due to the delayed arrival of clearance certificate from other clubs. ....

SAFA National Women’s League kicks off this weekend
19 April 2021 – The second edition of the SAFA National Women’s League will kick off this coming weekend, 24 April 2021, after last year’s tournament did not take place due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Women’s League that proved a runaway success was launched in 2019 with 12 teams participating in the inaugural season. This season however, will consist of 14 teams following the promotion of 2019 Sasol League National champions JVW from Gauteng and runners up Ma-Indies Ladies from Limpopo.
The rest of the clubs in the expanded league are defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Bloemfontein Celtics, three University teams – Tshwane University of Technology, University of Johannesburg and the University of the Western Cape – Tsunami Queens from the Free State, Thunderbirds (Eastern Cape), Coal City Wizards (Mpumalanga), Durban Ladies (KwaZulu Natal), First Touch Academy (Limpopo), Golden Ladies (North W ....

Richmond women's centre continues silent auction on International Women's Day after vulgar Zoom bombing

An organization that advances the cause of women had an online Zoom fundraiser interrupted over the weekend by disgusting messages.
According to the Richmond Women s Resource Centre, the sexist, racist, ageist, vulgar and pornographic comments, images, and sounds showed up during the keynote speech.
Today, the centre will continue its fundraising efforts until 10 p.m. on International Women s Day. The tweet below shows how people can make donations.
The centre was founded in 1976 and is currently delivering services online as a result of the pandemic.
